REVIEW: Nikon D200 10.2 Megapixel DSLR

INTRO

The Nikon D200 camera was introduced at the end of 2005. Why am I reviewing this camera now three years (which is forever in terms of camera technology) after its release? Well for starters I just purchased this camera last year from a friend and have finally used it enough to provide useful insight on it. Also the D300 was recently released so many people who previously shot with D200’s are unloading them like hotcakes on www.craigslist.toronto.ca or www.ebay.ca. Hopefully this review along with the dozens on the internet will help people who are interested in the D200 finally make the $900-1000 (used price) plunge!

Stauffer Library @ Night

Stauffer Library is gorgeous at night. Now that it is open until 2am every night I practically live here. I bet I should pay rent. Anyways, here is a photo of the library taken from the top floor looking down. This photo was inspired by a photo seen in the Queen’s yearbook:

Vintage Clothing Invades Douglas Library

Today I finally completed a university goal of mine: to have a photo shoot in the library. The theme was “vintage style” clothing. Thanks to Brandon for helping me out. Without your ideas and help this shoot wouldn’t have turned out as good as it did. I cannot believe how many people are already in the library right when it opens on a Saturday morning. If it were me I would be sound asleep in bed. At least they got a free show today! I was also surprised at how the library security just walked right past us while in the middle of our shoot. I guess we were either very lucky or he didn’t mind the eye canada as he was making his rounds.
